Private Medical Insurance
Protecting you for the future
Private Medical Insurance is taken out in order to provide private medical care in a private hospital or in a private NHS ward.
This is designed mainly to pay for the cost of short-term acute conditions. It does not generally cover primary care and routine health, dental and eye checks.
Many, of the policies will also pay for out-patient treatment, and some offer additional benefits such as payment for home nursing or alternative medicine.
There are now many different types of policies and cover levels available making Private Medical Care more affordable to you.
“You can now choose where and when you have operations, how much you pay as you can “shop around”, you can also pay reduced monthly premiums by agreeing to pay a percentage of the treatments costs.” (Derek Baillie – Senior Chartered Financial Planner)
